Who is sipgate?

We are a successful, founder-led and self-financed SaaS company with a beautiful campus in Düsseldorf's Media Harbor. Since 2004, we have been developing telephony solutions, now with almost 300 colleagues. We work cross-functionally, self-organized, always fairly and on equal footing. With over a billion minutes per year that are talked over sipgate, we are among the market leaders in Germany - and with over 20 years of experience.

How do I get started with the AI Agent?

Getting started with our AI Agent is very easy and you can here get started very easily.

Is there a trial period?

Yes, once you have configured your agent through our onboarding process, your 7-day trial phase starts, during which you can test the full product range.

Does the AI Agent also work with another telephony solution?

Yes, sipgate Agents works via call forwarding with all common phone systems and phone numbers, regardless of the provider.

How can I reach the support team?

Phone numbers

Can I port my number to sipgate?

Porting your phone number to sipgate is possible without any problems. You can easily initiate the porting in your account under "Phone numbers". Normally, a porting takes 1-2 weeks. In the meantime, you remain reachable at all times and on the day of porting only the provider changes to sipgate.

Can I use phone numbers from other providers?

Yes, sipgate Agents works via call forwarding with all common phone systems and phone numbers regardless of the provider. In the agent menu you will find the phone number and you can store it as the forwarding destination in your existing phone system.

Can I buy phone numbers from you?

You can buy new phone numbers with the area code of the company's headquarters at any time under the menu item "Phone numbers".

Language & Voice

Can I choose other voices?

You can choose from a wide variety of voices. In addition, greeting and address as well as background noise are customizable.

What does it cost if I use other voices?

All voices are included in the plan and there are no additional costs.

Which voice do we recommend?

By default, the voice "Sarah" is selected, which many customers like very much. However, the choice of voice is entirely individual. Just test a few voices and see which one best suits your company.

Call forwarding & assistants

Can the AI Agent forward calls?

Yes, the agent can forward to any phone number. Regardless of whether they are from sipgate or another provider.

Can I create multiple assistants?

Yes, you can create as many agents as you like.

Can the AI Agent handle multiple calls in parallel?

Yes, the agent can handle an unlimited number of conversations simultaneously.

Knowledge base

Can I connect external knowledge bases?

Yes, you can upload PDF files as a knowledge base for your agent, and the agent automatically learns the content and can actively use it in the conversation.

Is there a limit for the knowledge base?

The maximum size of the PDF file may be 3 MB.

Integration, API, automation

Can I connect the sipgate Agent with other systems such as CRM, online shops or tools? Can the agent access APIs?

Yes, that is also possible. Starting with our package with 2500+ minutes, we also offer custom integrations.

How do webhooks and the agent work?

We explained the functionality of webhooks in detail in this article .

After-call work

Can the agent send an email with the contents of the call?

After each conversation between the agent and a customer, you receive a summary of the conversation by email. In addition, you can view the transcript of the conversation at any time.

Can I see what the agent discussed with the customer?

You can view the transcript of each conversation and thus easily see how the agent responded in certain cases.

Privacy, GDPR & compliance

Does the agent have to say on the phone that it is AI?

Yes, the agent must state in the greeting that it is AI.

Is "I am the digital assistant of company XY" enough as a notice?

That is completely sufficient.

Prices & costs

What does the sipgate AI Agent cost? Is there a setup fee?

With sipgate AI Agents, you only pay for what you actually use. There are no setup fees and no minimum term. Billing is done per call minute, either flexibly or via monthly minute packages. An overview of all prices can be found on our website.

How is the minutes billing done?

You only pay when an agent answers, i.e. is integrated into your telephony and actively speaks with customers.
